My Journey
My career began while I was still studying. To support myself through university, I worked as a Lab Supervisor at CASET College of Computer Science, where I managed the computer lab, conducted practical sessions, and helped students with their projects. It was my first opportunity to combine technical knowledge with responsibility, communication, and mentoring.
During this time, I qualified GATE 2011, completed my DOEACC 'B' Level, and earned a scholarship that enabled me to pursue an M.Tech in Information Security.
After completing my master's degree, I joined T.K. Constructions. Although I was initially responsible for managing accounts using Tally, my role soon expanded well beyond accounting. I became involved in improving business processes, coordinating the development of internal software, managing client communication, and supporting contract administration. It was here that I discovered my interest in business analysis and using technology to solve real operational challenges.
In 2022, I joined Just Trading, a multi-brand electronics distribution company, where I was entrusted with establishing the organisation's IT department. I oversaw technology operations, managed the development of a custom stock management system, introduced security policies, and supported marketing initiatives. Building the department from the ground up gave me valuable experience in leadership, planning, and delivering technology that supported business growth.
Like many careers, mine has included a few unexpected challenges along the way. Those experiences strengthened my resilience, broadened my perspective, and reinforced the importance of adaptability and continuous learning.
My next role at MIITS brought together many of the skills I had developed throughout my career. As a Business Systems Analyst, I worked across web development, information security, SEO, CRM management, digital marketing, and content strategy. It reinforced my belief that successful technology projects begin with understanding the business first.
Today, I continue to build on those experiences as an independent IT and Business Consultant, helping organisations improve the way they use technology, data, and business processes. I specialise in analysing sales and expenditure data, developing interactive dashboards using Power BI and Streamlit, and providing business analysis and technology consulting to organisations looking to improve efficiency and make informed decisions. Every project is an opportunity to combine business understanding with technology to deliver practical, measurable results.
Fun Facts & Hobbies
I’ve been active in sports since my college days — cricket, squash, and cycling have always been part of my routine. I’ve also participated in nationals for soft tennis. But if I had to pick one I truly love, it’s snooker. There’s something about the focus, the calm, and the precision that keeps me hooked.
I’m a big fan of heavyweight boxing and UFC. The discipline, the strategy, and the mental toughness behind it all fascinate me. Outside of sports, I love watching historical documentaries and reading about Kashmir’s history. It’s not just a place I come from — it’s a story I’m still learning.
